E.g. in the July 2017 edition of the parish magazine there is a very interesting article about Katharine Love , affectionately known as “Lady Bountiful”, who lived at Hawkhills from 1877 to 1936 and who was closely associated with the people of Easingwold and the church, written by Sue Thorn.
